CHICKASHA —
Pat and Nettie Hodges recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
The Hodges met in the fifth grade. They, both, attended and graduated from Amber High School.
They were married on Dec. 2, 1950 in the First Baptist Church in Amber. The Hodges have been blessed with four children, nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Pat worked for 31-1/2 years for the federal government, Department of Agriculture. Nettie worked for KWCO radio and USAO. Both Pat and Nettie are retired and enjoy woodcrafts, their yard, the grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their dog, Sassy.
The Hodges were honored this summer with an 18-day, nine state road trip provided by their son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Linda Hodges of Colorado Springs, CO. They contribute their long marriage to Nettie’s cooking and Pat’s ability to do all those “honey-do jobs.”
