50th Anniversary

— The children and grandchildren of David and Carol Anthony of Minco request the pleasure of your company at a come and go reception in honor of the couple's 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Feb. 26, 6-8 p.m. at 502 SW Burt Dr. in  Minco.

Carol is the daughter of the late Alex and Mildred Woodworth and David is the son of  M. P. and Mary Anthony of Gracemont (Springcreek).

The couple met while "dragging Main" in Minco in Aug. 1959 and were married on Feb. 25, 1961 at the Minco Presbyterian Church.

David was in construction work and Carol worked at Woodworth's. On Dec. 1, 1964, they purchased their present home and becamer farmer-ranchers. David is well-known for his paint horses, good cattle and huge gardens, especially sweet corn and watermelons.

The Anthonys have supported their children in sports and in showing horses and pigs in 4-H and FFA and later, supported their grandchildren who showed horses and jersey cattle. The family worked and played together.

David and Carol take great  pride in their family: daughter,  Marylin and her husband Mark Morris of Bradley; son, Terry and his wife, Leah Anthony of Hart, Texas; son, Ricky and his wife Shelley Anthony of Minco; son, Kyle and his wife Christy Anthony of Minco, 11 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
