40th Anniversary Richies to be honored

Raymond and Phyllis Richie will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary December 20, 2009. A reception will be held in their honor at the Chisholm Trail Church of Christ from 2-4 pm.

Raymond Leon Richie and Phyllis Louise Wilkins were married December 20, 1969 in Chickasha, OK. The ceremony was officiated by the bride’s stepfather, the late Rev. A.D. Moore.

They lived in Chickasha until August 1981 and relocated to Duncan, where the currently reside.

Raymond was employed with Mobil Oil for 24 years and currently is employed by Duncan Public Schools. He is the Head Custodian at Plato Elementary . Phyllis taught Civics at Chickasha Junior High for 11 years. She has worked for Duncan Public Schools as a District Media Coordinator for the past 27 years and is currently the Media Specialist for Plato and Mark Twain Elementary Schools.

Raymond and Phyllis have been active members of the Chisholm Trail Church of Christ for 28 years.

The couple has two children: Mia (Marion) Edwards of Arlington, TX and Philip “Doug” Richie of Chickasha, OK. They also have four grandchildren: Kira Richie of Arlington, TX and Bryson, Alyssa, and Alexus Richie, all of Duncan, OK.
