    Bruce and Eunice Lee will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Sept, 18, 2010, at a reception being held in their honor.
    Bruce and Eunice were married at the Assembly of God Church in Tabler, Oklahoma, on Sept. 30, 1960.  They raised four daughters, Dana Reed, Brenda Hall, Marla Rogers and Nichole Funk and one nephew, Brian Lee.

  • Wards celebrate 40 years together

    On Aug. 30,1970,  Mary Ann Keim and Clint Ward celebrated their love for each other by exchanging wedding vows.
    During their 40 years together, they have worked happily (on most days) side-by-side as owners of a crop-dusting airport in Jerome, Ark. and ostrich ranches in Durant and Lexington, Okla.. Now, they reside in Chickasha.

    Fifty years ago, Sept. 2, 1960, Robert E. Dye and Elizabeth A. Ebey were united in marriage at Carter Park Baptist Church in Del City. They lived in Oklahoma City until Robert graduated from Central State College in Edmond. Robert attended seminary at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, TX.
    Robert pastored churches in Illinois, Michigan and Oklahoma. He pastored Michigan Avenue Baptist Church, Chickasha, from 1977 - 1984 and again from 1993 until his retirement in 2009.

    On August 3, 1950, William L. Lubbers and Genovia Chambers were united in marriage at Holy Name Catholic Church.
    Their wedding was the first wedding performed by Father Bart Murdaugh. Bill's best man was the late Bill Bitsche of Chickasha, and Genovia's matron of honor was the late Mrs. Velma (Black) Smith, of Chickasha.

    A. J. and June Pearcy, of Chickasha, will celebrate their  50th wedding anniversary with a reception in their honor on July 31 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Southern Oaks Church of Christ.
    The couple met when they were in high school and were married July 29, 1960  at the 16th and Florida Church of Christ.
