Adult Learning Center

• What: Oklahoma high school diploma exam schedule

• When: Dec. 10, 2009

• Where: GED Test Site, Adult Learning Center, 628 Kansas Ave., Chickasha.

• Cost: $65 Test Fee; $40 Retest Fee. Everyone is required to call and reserve a testing date. A rescheduling fee of $25 will be added for those failing to give 24 hours cancellation notice.

• Details: Photo I.D. required to complete the application and each time to take the Exam. The Exam begins at 5:30 p.m. Apply in person at the Adult Learning Center or at one of the other class sites. GED Testing Accommodations are available. Ask us how we can help. Chickasha Area Arts Council

• What: regular meeting.

• Details: Please enter on the north side. Major agenda items include receiving updates on Jaruba’s two-day drumming workshop in Jan. at Oddfellows Music Hall; planning CAAC-sponsored workshops to be held in the spring and summer; discussing the formation of a 2010 Rock Island Arts Festival Planning Committee; and making plans for the 2010 Rose Hill Cemetery Tour. A special ‘Mid-Year CAAC Membership’ is being offered this month by the CAAC. This membership would make a nice stocking stuffer for family and friends who enjoy the Arts.

Cancer Support Group

Grief Recovery

• When: First and third Thursdays at 6 p. m.

DivorceCare

• What: DivorceCare, a weekly support group and seminar conducted by people who understand divorce.

Blood Drive

• Details: Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) will reward each donor’s giving spirit with a warm beanie cap. Anyone, who is healthy and 17 years or older, can donate blood.
