If you've been living under a rock for the last year, Mumford and Sons is a London-based folk band with smash hits like, "Little Lion Man", "The Cave", "I Will Wait" and dozens of other feel-good tunes.
A few hours ago it was announced that Mumford and Sons will host a two day music festival in Guthrie, Ok from Friday Sept. 6-7. Guthrie is located 35 miles north of Oklahoma City and was the original capitol of the Oklahoma territories. I can't say I've ever been to Guthrie but it sounds like it has a lot of history.
The two-day event will take place at Cottonwood Flats, which is located near the river by the historic downtown. For an additional fee you can pay to camp on the local grounds.
Other comfirmed bands include Edward Sharpe and the Magentic Zeros, Alabama Shakes, The Vaccines, Half Moon Run, Willy Mason, Those Darlins and Bear's Den. More bands will supposedly be announced.
Tickets go online this Friday at 11am and are just over $100. If you're remotely interested I would snag these tickets fast - they'll sell out for sure.

Three-hundred forty-six, 418, and 314. These are the total number of votes cast in last night's school board elections in Chickasha, Rush Springs and Blanchard respectively.
The populations of these towns are 16,036, 1,278 and 7,670 respectively. That means that the percentage of people that voted in last night's election was 2 percent, 33 percent and 4 percent respectively.
With the exception of Rush Springs this is just downright shameful. -
