BLOG: Star Wars' exhibit embraces both sides of force

OKLAHOMA CITY — I am a huge Star Wars fan. It's kind of ridiculous. I'm talking so big that I have a Yoda tattoo on my left tricep.

Like I said, it's ridiculous, and words cant possibly describe my excitement over  "The Science of Star Wars" exhibit on Feb. 21 at the Museum of Science in Oklahoma City.

I am just gushing to write 500 words of Star Wars related puns about making the jump to hyper speed while driving down IH-44, or should it snow, riding my ton-ton across the country side to forgo the road.

Alright, I think that's enough with the attempted puns, but I do want to take a second to say how amazing this event truly is. Granted, I'm a bit of fanboy, so this means a little more to me than the average person, but the fact that the science museum is embracing something like this in an adult fashion that will both educate and intoxicate is amazing. Open minded events such as the Science of Star Wars only better our society and culture because they work to embrace people that may otherwise feel ostracized by the main stream.

Well done Science Museum of Oklahoma and should I get off early enough this Thursday you can count on me to make a drive at speeds rivaling the Millennium Falcon's Kessel Run to partake of the festivities.
