GRADY COUNTY —
So, I have to admit that I am mildly unconvinced by all this casino hubbub.
I realize that it will bring people from the surrounding counties into Grady to spend their money and by that rational will foster prosperity, but don't casinos come with a negative element?
As I have grown up in Texas I could be way off the mark here. I just assume that this sort of establishment is accompanied by droves of less than reputable people, but I could be very wrong in that assumption.
I don't want to give anyone the wrong impression. I love the idea of a casino in Grady County. I love anything that could add a new economic dynamic to our county. I just wonder if it's worth the possible cost.

BLOG: Election turnout shows 'shameful' apathy
Three-hundred forty-six, 418, and 314. These are the total number of votes cast in last night's school board elections in Chickasha, Rush Springs and Blanchard respectively.
The populations of these towns are 16,036, 1,278 and 7,670 respectively. That means that the percentage of people that voted in last night's election was 2 percent, 33 percent and 4 percent respectively.
With the exception of Rush Springs this is just downright shameful. -

Today I am going to cross into Aaron’s world and write a little ditty about a sport.
It’s not about Thunder basketball, or Sooner football.
No, today’s blog is about the most exciting time of the year for me, athletically speaking. I am talking about the first week of Spring Training. -
