Ninnekah woman dead after 1 car accident
One woman is dead after a one-car accident Thursday evening. The Ninnekah woman, identified by police as Debra J. Kingen, 37, was headed southbound on County Street 2850 when for some unknown reason, the car left the roadway and went right.

Sooner Tumbling 20 year celebration
When Jim and Donna Stewart opened Sooner Tumbling in January of 1993, many local people asked them "and just how long do you plan to stay in town?" Their response was "for as long as Chickasha and the surrounding areas support us!" Twenty years later, Grady County is still entrusting their children to Sooner Tumbling to learn tumbling, coordination, and confidence. To celebrate, Sooner Tumbling will be hosting a 20 yr. anniversary celebration this Saturday, Jan. 5th, from noon til 4 p.m. in their new location at 423 W. Chickasha Ave.

Kaitlyn Murphy, the WeeCare employee accused of breaking a toddler's arm last week, was arrested last night and charged with one count of child abuse by a caretaker.

After receiving an anonymous tip, the Coffeyville Police Department in Kansas arrested 29-year-old Keith Lee Thornburg on a Grady County outstanding warrant.
