Neva Jo Smith was born December 16, 1943 to E.O. and Nadell Pearson in the Harris community. Neva Jo departed this life July 9, 2012.

Neva Jo graduated from Alex High School in 1961.

Neva Jo obeyed the gospel in April 1957. Her favorite Bible verse was 3 John 4.

She married David W. Smith December 22, 1962 at Alex Main Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband of the home in Alex; two children, Lisa Gail Woods and husband Rodney of Alex and David W. II and wife Lisa of Lindsay; five grandchildren, Amber Woods Minson and husband Zach of San Antonio,  TX, Amy Woods of Alex, Alisha, Kourtney Jo and Dusty Smith all of Lindsay and two great grandchildren, Sam and Lydia Minson both of San Antonio. Also, one brother, Gene Pearson and wife Judy of Calvin, OK, one sister, Donna Potter of Mustang, OK and numerous nephews, nieces, brothers and sisters in Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, E.O. and Nadell Pearson, brother Jackie Pearson, sister-in-law Janell Pearson and brother-in-law Sammy Potter.

Services for Neva Jo will be conducted by Brother Dale Jones and Brother J Henderson and will be held Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Murray Hill Church of Christ in Lindsay with internment at Alex Cemetery in Alex.
