The Volunteer of the Year is an annual award, sponsored by the Chickasha Chamber of Commerce, which recognizes an individual (or couple) who has demonstrated unselfish exemplary service as a volunteer in the Chickasha community. Previous honorees have been chosen because they exhibited the qualities of service and leadership that provide an example to others.
Anyone may nominate a person for consideration. Chamber involvement is not necessarily a consideration for selection, but encouraged. The award will be announced at the 87th Annual Chamber Banquet Feb. 26. Nominations should include the name and contact information of the nominee, the reason for nomination in 150 words or less, and the contact information from the person submitting the nomination.
