Cocherans to be honored on 50th wedding anniversary

Wiley and LaVelle will celebrate their 50th anniversary on April 14, 2012.

They were married at the Calvary Baptist Church in Natchitoches, Louisiana, officiated by Rev. Earl Mave in 1962.

Lavelle McDonald Cochran is the daughter of the late Curtis and Dorothy McDonald of Natchitoches, Louisiana. Wiley W. Cochran is the son of the late Wick and Elsie Cochran.

Wiley and LaVelle have two daughters: Teresa Cogburn, married to A.J. of Cement; and Kay Bogle, married to Terry of Chickasha. They have four grandchildren: Casey Hargrove and Keisha Bogle Sorrels of Chickasha and Lyndsay Doley and Ashley Hawey of Cement; and six great grandchildren: Ozzy Hargrove and Keana Hargrove of Cement and Trey Sorrels and Keirah Sorrels and Jaysyn Sorrels of Chickasha and Katy Doby of Cement.

Wiley and LaVelle are members of Church of Christ in Cement, Okla.

Wiley is very active in Indian Temple Shrine of Oklahoma City and LaVelle participates regularly in activities.

LaVelle has been retired for 17 years from Cement School where she cooked for 25 years.

Wiley is still doing what he loves to do. He is an aerial applicator, which he has enjoyed doing for 32 years.

LaVelle is active in other activities such as Cement Senior Citizen and Cement Community Association.
