Two area residents were winners of Oklahoma Lottery games recently.
Sara Rader of Chickasha won $1,500 playing Hot Lotto. When she realized she had won, she signed her ticket immediately!
Rader purchased her winning ticket at Highway 19 Super Stop, 1300 E. Highway 19, in Chickasha. She said she purchases her tickets there because she likes the people and it’s close to home. She plans to use her cash on new furniture.
And Jason Cogburn of Cement can claim 7 as his lucky number. He recently won $777 playing the Oklahoma Lottery’s Lucky 7s Scratcher.
Cogburn purchased his winning ticket at the Southern Hills Convenient Store at 2100 S. 29th in Chickasha. Upon learning he won, he immediately called his wife in disbelief. He plans on using his new cash toward holiday expenses.
Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education. More than $232 million has been contributed to education since November 2005 with funds directed to the higher education capital bond issue and funds directed to the Oklahoma Education Lottery Trust Fund (OELTF). The Oklahoma Legislature appropriates the OELTF.
