First National Bank supports DHS welfare


The First National Bank and Trust Company supports the Department of Human Services Child Welfare through donations.

The estimated number of children under 18 years of age in Grady County is 12,603, and 18 percent of the children are in need of welfare assistance.

The Child Care program helps ensure trained supervision, nutrition and education for children while their parents or caregivers are at work, in training or receiving an education.

In addition, the Child Welfare helps by providing foster care which is a planned, goal-directed service that provide 24-hour-a-day substitute temporary care and supportive services in a home environment for children birth to 18 years old.

The Child Welfare also helps through a Community-Based Residential Services program that supports management for the care and treatment of youth in Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) custody.

Grady County DHS Child Services is located at 217 North 3rd Street in Chickasha.

The First National Bank and Trust Company, through its Community Reinvestment Act program, is able to continue helping within its communities.
