First National Bank helps YMCA help others
The First National Bank and Trust Company presented a donation to Chickasha Area YMCA for its Strong Kids Campaign.
The YMCA is at 725 West Chickasha Ave. Johnathan Teal is the executive director.
The Chickasha Area YMCA mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The organization focuses on serving Chickasha and the surrounding communities by providing prevention and developmental programs for children and families.
Participants enjoy the Youth Sports, Group Exercise, Child Care, Child Watch, After School and Summer Camps.
The facility has a cardio theater room, free weight room, and machine strength equipment. Other amenities include a full sized gymnasium, two racquetball courts, a youth fitness center and exercise studio.
YMCA hours are from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m Saturdays, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m Sundays.
Ninnekah sets
Pre-K enrollment
Ninnekah School will have Pre-K enrollment for students who reside in the Ninnekah School District on April 14 and April 15. Enrollment will be in the elementary office from 8:15am - 3:30pm. For more information please call 222-0420.
To be eligible for the Pre-Kindergarten program, a child must be four years old on or before September 1, 2010. Parents need to bring an updated immunization record and a certified copy of a birth certificate.

employee chili cookoff
In a response to the community-based American Cancer Society Relay for Life, employees of The First National Bank and Trust Company, Chickasha locations, have committed to dedicate their time and efforts in support the research for the ratification of cancer.
The Bank has had a team for several years, and has financially supported other community Relay for Life efforts as well.
To help with the team’s fund-raising efforts, the Bank will have its Annual Employee Chili Cook-Off. Pauline Garrett, Vice President and Operations Manager, is the reigning Chili Champion.
She received a certificate declaring her, First National Bank’s “Best Darn Chili Cook”, which includes full bragging rights.
The public is welcome to attend the Chili Event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 19, 1 in the Bank’s Community Room, 302 Chickasha Ave. Cost if $5. New to the event this year is a silent auction of desserts.
“We have had fellow employees, and family members who have benefited from the American Cancer Society Research," said Mary Valadez, the bank's team leader. "Employees and Bank management have always supported an employee team for Chickasha’s Relay for Life.”
The Relay for Life is a celebration of cancer survivorship. It’s unique celebration of fun, fellowship, inspiration, and hope. Chickasha’s Relay for Life Walk at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma will be overnight June 4.

Foundation Pancake Dinner coming next week
The Chickasha Public School Foundation (CPSF) will play host to its Annual Pancake Supper from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. March 23 at both Chickasha McDonald's restaurants.
CPSF Board members will be serving you. The meals can be picked up inside the restaurant as well as the drive thru.
Tickets are available at the door and from Board Members, Chickasha Chamber of Commerce, First National Bank and Trust Company and Chickasha Bank and Trust Company, as well as Chickasha Public School Offices.
The Chickasha Public School Foundation is dedicated to help through an endowment and annual fund raising events, therefore providing grants and scholarships awarded once each year for programs within the Chickasha Public School System and for the teachers, to increase the available educational opportunities for our children.
