Transformations

July 31, 2012

Do you have passion running through your veins?  Is there a goal that you desperately want to achieve and that is so deeply rooted into your being that you will go beyond what others would typically ever think about doing in order to see it come to fruition?  If not, then maybe it is time to quit sitting on the sidelines of life and get out there any start playing life full out.  Maybe it’s beyond time to start exploring for your personal passion. Let the journey begin.

Olympic athletes possess it.  So do all successful singers, musicians, actors, business owners and all other high level peak performers.  They found their spark, their drive, that one thing that they want to do beyond all other things.  It’s possible that it could have been a talent or knack for doing something that seemed to call and beckon them towards it.  Maybe it was an injustice that they witnessed and that affected them viscerally to the point that they felt compelled to take action and do something about it themselves.  Sometimes people simply stumbled up on it by chance, but it strikes a special inner chord inside of them that inspires them to follow their heart to where ever it leads.  No matter what it is or what form it is packaged up in, something deep down in your gut will tell you “go for it and don’t look back”.  Have you ever experienced this feeling of desire?

How many opportunities does a person receive in their lifetime to make a difference in not only themselves, but in the world at large?  Have you found that something that you could term “your calling”?  I feel that we all possess a special gift or talent within ourselves that we are blessed with from birth, a gift from God, if you will, that we are meant to develop throughout our life and use to its fullest potential. When we discover our hidden gem, we then ignite the fiery passion that is bottled up inside of us that can’t wait to get out explode upon our lives.

What makes a high level peak performer who they are?  Are they uniquely special?  Do they have something others don’t have?  Yes and no.  Yes, they have something special; they know exactly what they want and are willing to pay the price to achieve it.  They are human just like you and me, but they have made up their minds about what they want to pursue and will not let anything get in their way of achieving it.  This is what separates them from the majority of people.  Most people will simply let life get in the way.

We all have our own fair share of problems that we are faced with on a daily basis, but how we deal with these problems can either positively or negatively affect the future outcome of the successful achievement of our goals. When something comes up out of left field and we are faced with a challenge, we have choices in how we handle it.  We can see it for what it is; something that has to be dealt with, handled and then move on or we can give in to it, become burdened with fear about it and get sidetracked placing our goals on indefinite hold.  This slowly pulls us down, takes the wind from our sails and eventually puts an end to the dream of ever achieving what we thought as our lifelong purpose.

You my friend are good at something.  You do something better than any other person out there.  What is it?  Don’t tell me you don’t know, you know, you just maybe haven’t thought about it before.  When you put your finger on it, you then have two choices, to do something about it and to take it to the next level or to do nothing and let it go to waste, to dwindle away into nothing.  Think of it like the planting of a seed, if you never take it out of the package: you have failed the first step.  If you just throw it on the ground and not place it in fertile soil; you have failed the second step.  If you do not water it daily and nurture it over the course of time that it takes to grow from a seedling to a full grown plan; you have failed the third and final step.  Your talents are the seeds that lie within you, I encourage you to find your passions and begin the journey to seeing where they lead and never look back.

To Your Success!
