Washita Valley Community Action Council enrollment starts July 25

Washita Valley Community Action Council is taking enrollment applications on July 25, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. for 2012-2013 year.   Applications will be taken at the Community Action Office, 205 West Chickasha Ave.

Head Start preschool program serves both 3 and 4 year old children.  A child must be at least 3 years old by September 1, 2012 to qualify.  There are full day classrooms for children of parents who are working or in school full time.  Limited bus service is provided for those families who have no transportation.

To enroll, the family must provide the following documents.

Verification of income for a 12 month period (W-2’s, income tax form, or check stub with year to date income)

Child’s immunization record

Birth Certificate or proof of date of birth

Medical insurance card if available

Child’s Social Security card if available

All supplies are provided free of charge, and a healthy breakfast & lunch are served.  Dental, vision, and developmental screenings are completed for each child enrolled in the program.  

Families who have children with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
