Blessed Women to meet

Due to the downtown Halloween festivities,

the Blessed Women gathering scheduled for this Friday, Oct. 30 has been rescheduled for next Friday, Nov. 6.

Grady Co. Opry

• When: October 31, 2009

• Where: Grady Co. fairgrounds

• Details: Adults, $7, children 7-12, $5, under 7 - free admission. Call 405-320-0055 for information. This event is the last Saturday of every month



NOVEMBER 1



The “Arts at Messiah” Concert Series

• When: Sunday, November 1 at 4 p.m.

• Where: Messiah Lutheran Church, 3600 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City

• Details: The festival will feature a combined choir of singers from 15 area congregations from various branches of the Lutheran Church. A dinner will be served immediately following the Service. The meal will consist of Rosemary Roasted Chicken and Vegetables, Orzo Pasta Salad and Chocolate Cake. Children 8 years and younger will be served chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese and Chocolate Cake. Cost of the meal is $10/adults and $6/children. Reservations MUST be made and paid for in advance and a ticket is REQUIRED for admittance to the dinner. Call Jeanne VonDerAhe at 946-0681 for tickets and/or more information.

Something Worthwhile

• When: Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009; 6-8 p.m.

• Where: Epworth United Methodist Church Life Center.

• Details: Reservations are required and seating is limited. All reservations are made with Bobi at 320-0240. She will accept reservations until all tickets are sold OR until the deadline of 3:00 p.m. on Fri., Oct. 30. The meal cost is $4, which can be paid at the door.

Fall Craft Bazaar

UMC annual Fall Festival

• When: Thursday, Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

• Where: Epworth United Methodist Church

• Details: The annual lunch will be held will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The menu will consist of chicken and rice, green beans, salad, bread, cake at a cost of $7.00. Come and shop at Granny's Attic and then shop booths for home baked goodies and miscellaneous items.

Kid's Crew Worship

• Who: First Baptist Church, Chickasha

• When: Sundays at 10:30 a.m.

• Details: A worship service designed especially for students in grade K-5. Rides are available by calling 224-5196. Vans run at 9 a.m. for Sunday school and again at 11:45 a.m. to return children home.



St. Luke's Episcopal Church

• When: Sundays at 9-9:45 a.m.

• Where: St. Luke's Episcopal, 124 S. 6th, Chickasha

• Details: Theme is Forgiveness: both asking for and accepting -- forgiveness. Class will be led by Vicar Susan Lindley, JD, M. Div., Gerald Butcher, deacon and Sanders Huguenin, PhD.



Terrific Tuesday

• What: Fun and fellowship for seniors & caregivers

• When: 4th Tuesday of the month

• Where: Life Center at Epworth United Methodist Church, 4th & Iowa

• Details: Bring a sack lunch. Caregivers may drop persons in their care off and run errands or may stay and enjoy the activities. For information, please call 224-3320.



First Pentecostal singing

• Details: Singing is held on the first Saturday, monthly.
