Dr. Akin opens chiropractor practice here

Dr. Eugene Akin, D.C. of Akin Chiropractic Clinic in Chickasha announces the opening of his office at 211 S. 5th Street. Dr. Akin has 13 years of chiropractic experience and previously owned a clinic in Flower Mound, Texas.

He has relocated to Oklahoma to raise his family in a small town atmosphere. He and his family live near Amber where his two children, Eric and Allison, attend Amber-Pocasset Schools. He is the son of Eugene and Anita Akin of Anadarko.

A graduate of Anadarko High School, he attended Oklahoma University and Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas. He is a member of the Chickasha Elks Club. Some of his favorite pastimes include hunting and fishing.

Much of his fall and spring spare time is spent at Amber-Pocasset Junior and Senior High School watching his children play baseball and softball.

He is an avid Nascar fan and collects memorabilia from the racers. His interest in cars began while he worked part time in high school at McDuffey’s Auto Supply in Anadarko. Tinkering with old cars and accessorizing them is another of his hobbies.

When asked why he became a chiropractor, Dr. Akin said, “I chose to become a chiropractor to be able to provide relief for pain without the use of drugs or surgery. While I fully understand that this is not the answer to every patient and condition, chiropractic can provide a safe alternative to expensive surgery and non-effective drugs in many cases.”

He said also that the primary focus of his office is neck pain, lower back pain, scoliosis, and chronic pain occurring over a period of three months or more.

For an appointment call 405 253 4947. The office is across the street from Dunn’s Grocery.
