No seed ... No Harvest

To the editor,

Genesis 8:22 talks about what will remain forever, seedtime and harvest. We, the people of this nation, have gotten what we seeded. We have left God out of the decision making process for so long there appears not to be a place for him to dwell now.If man’s ways work then why are lives not being truly changed ?

The seed that Jesus speaks about is GOD’S WORD, it has to be planted in good soil to produce. The seed produces from a root that grows deep in the commitment to Jesus Christ, allowing Christ to be more than fire insurance. Many call him Savior but how many are able to call him Lord over everything in their lives. If there truly has been a heart change then there will be a mind change which then will be an outward change. Jesus says you will know them by their fruits, fruits that come from a good root or from a bad root. Man has all kind of programs from social to religious but yet the results are still many times the same, no change.Every generation thinks they have found a better way, a better plan, yet still generation after generation bad roots keep cropping up. America has allowed millions of seeds to be destroyed thru abortion , and we ask today what has happened to our future, America we have aborted part of your future. As we the nation of America reels into the new year maybe we should get back to the root of the problem, NO GOD! This is not meant to be condemning but uplifting to point us all back to our Creator. 1st Peter 4:17-19 in the KJV Bible says “For the time is come that Judgment must begin at the house of God.” The house is our own person, our own temple, our soul and our being, not a building that man made. We the people of this nation need to confess that there is sin at work in many levels of society. Many of our political leaders think they can fix our problems, How can evil cast out evil? The answer lies within the hearts of each of us uniting together to proclaim America as a nation under God and we will keep it that way. That sounds way too simple??

Man has been and is still trying to correct a spiritual and moral problem with money and power.

Man always works on the symptoms of the problem, God works internally , the root of the problem.

No Seed, No Root, No Change, No Harvest !

To the editor,

I read the Dec. 27 letter from Paul Harris and agree with every word. With a few exceptions, everyone in Congress should be voted out at the next election. But even though the public is unhappy with Congress, they'll get voted in again and again. I've heard the health care debacle referred to as Ted Kennedy's legacy! Ted Kennedy is not important - the citizens of the United States are who is important - and Congress has forgotten who we are. I personally think (again with a few exceptions) all members of Congress are spineless, gutless wonders who don't care about anyone or anything except themselves. I wonder if they would be so anxious to serve the people if their pay was more in line with the average working American (who work a lot more hours for their money than Congress does). Congress should have to accept for themselves the same health care, retirement and everything else they vote in for us. Wouldn't that be a CHANGE? Just remember when our taxes are raised and employment rises even more and the health care in this country gets worse, this is what some of you wanted. BUT, you know the President said he wouldn't raise taxes on the middle class and unemployment wouldn't go above 8% and government would be "transparent" (what a joke)!!

It is a shame that we have a President that is such a Boob. He seems to be going down the same path a certain dictator of Germany in WWII. I guess those results are what we can look forward to. It would be nice if what the majority of the American people believe about him would be wrong, but I don't think so. I pray to God every day that He will watch over this country. We sure are making a mess of it.

By the way, if we don't stand by Israel, God's wrath will fall on us. The Bible says so. God will judge us for our actions, other countries will be judged for their actions. We are only responsible for how WE treat God's chosen people.

Congratulations to every citizen that has the courage to speak up and stand for the principles this country was founded upon and not be "politically correct". Being politically correct is killing us. Try being "POLITICALLY INCORRECT". It will do your heart good. The United States could never be taken over by an enemy from the outside but from the "inside" which is exactly what is happening. When are the POWERS THAT BE going to wake up and use their brains?

I am proud and privileged to be a citizen of the GREATEST COUNTRY ON EARTH! I hope you are too.
