Blanchard man that died in crash identified

CHICKASHA — The identity of the man involved in a fatality   auto accident on Highway 62 in Grady County.

Winston Unruh, 40, of Blanchard was pronounced dead after sustaining massive injuries to the head, trunk, arms, and legs, after being pinned for approximately 20 minutes in his 1991 Ford truck.

According to a release by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Unruh was driving eastbound on Highway 62 when he failed to slow for a Chickasha school bus, driven by Roger Haney of Amber, was stopped waiting on oncoming traffic to make a left hand turn into a private drive. The Ford pickup struck the school bus from the rear. Unruh was pinned and was freed by the Chickasha Fire Department. He was medi-flighted to OU Medical Center and was pronounced dead at 7:23 p.m.

The accident was investigated by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Michael Jewell.
