— An old siren will be removed from the Town of Norge for use at Lake Burtschi in an effort to improve emergency warning time for the area, Dale Thompson, Grady County Emergency Management Director said at the Grady County Commissioners Meeting.
Thompson went to a town meeting at the Town of Norge to discuss moving the old siren to Lake Burtschi to inform them that the old siren will be used and they will not be removing the new one.
Thompson said that he was impressed with the organization of Norge's town meetings.
"Hats off to them," he said.
The estimated cost to move and install the siren is $7,700, but Thompson noted that this figure is a preliminary estimate.
