This week, April 22-28, is Week of the Young Child, which honors young children and those who are involved in the betterment of their lives.
Rachel Myrko, Outreach Coordinator for Great Plains Child Care Resources and Referral, said that the Grady County Interagency Coalition wanted to do something for the community that would be free and fun.
The child and family themed event included games, prizes, hot dogs, touch-a-truck, community resources and more. The door prizes included themed gift baskets and the grand prize, a Nintendo Wii. John Holt Chevrolet dealership offered car seat safety checks.
