An argument over a 7-month-old infant led to felony charges of first degree burglary and aggravated assault and battery being filed in Grady County District Court against the father and a friend.
Daniel S. Burnes, 20, and 38-year-old Jason R. Fulton, both of Ninnekah, were also charged with domestic abuse, a misdemeanor.
Bonds for Burnes and Fulton were set at $10,000 each at their initial appearances on Aug. 15 and 16, respectively. Preliminary hearing conferences scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Sept. 7.
According to an affidavit, Mitzi and Roy Fulton were caring for their 7-month-old grandchild Aug. 6 when Burnes and Jason Fulton allegedly barged into their home and a confrontation followed when Burnes said he wanted his child. The baby's mother, Tara Fulton, had called her parents, advising them to not let Burnes take the baby because he was drunk.
