Canadian Valley Technology Center’s Chickasha campus has a new instructor for the 2010-11 school year.
Angela Gore has accepted the potion of Health Careers instructor. Gore, a Minco High School graduate, received her bachelor’s degree in Natural Science Education from USAO. She went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from OU’s Health Science Center.
Before accepting the position at Canadian Valley, Gore worked as a nurse at Lifeline Home Health. She also has classroom experience as science teacher at Putnam City and El Reno High Schools.
“We are excited to have found such a diversely trained person who has nursing experience, as well as experience teaching in a public school system,” Student Services Director Tracy Goyne said.
“Angela is a combination of the best of both worlds for a Health Careers instructor.
“She is also a Canadian Valley graduate of the Health Careers program (formerly Allied Health) at the El Reno campus, so she has explicit knowledge of all the components that go into providing a high quality health program. We are expecting great things from her.”
Gore serves on the Minco Education Foundation Board of Directors.
She also enjoys spending time reading, going to the lake and spending time outdoors. She and her husband, Brad, reside in Minco and have three children: Aiden, 4 years; Chloe, 15 months; and Hollis, 3 months.
