CHICKASHA — A Tuttle man is going to prison.
Daniel “Tommie” Brumit appeared in District Court Tuesday for formal sentencing having pled guilty to five counts of lewd molestation in October.
Brumit was arrested on Feb. 23 after admitting to a DA Investigator that he had repeatedly molested an underage female, which reportedly occured over a two-year span.
Brumit had also allegedly confessed his actions to a pastor and had been in counseling in an attempt to control his urges.
Tuesday, District Judge Richard Van Dyck sentenced Brumit to 40 years in prison followed by a 20 year suspended sentence.
