CHICKASHA — Police arrested an Anadarko woman after she allegedly attacked a Chickasha apartment manager.

Brittany Ashley Whitefox, 21, was arrested on charges of resisting arrest and assault with a dangerous weapon Monday morning.

Originally responding to a report of burglary at the Valley View Apartments, Officer Kori Brewer said he was advised by dispatch that Whitefox was causing a disturbance in the office.

In his affidavit, Brewer said Whitefox came at him screaming when he entered the room.

The office manager was reportedly in a corner holding her head, visibly shaken.

Whitefox was reportedly screaming that her property, including her daughter’s DVDs and a bed, had been thrown away.

After placing the woman on her knees and attempting to calm her, Brewer was able to check on the victim. The office manager reportedly had a phone cord wrapped around her neck. The woman also sustained a bump on the head and her fingers had been bloodied.

An ambulance was called to the scene, however, the victim declined to be transported.

While the officer attempted to talk to the victim, the suspect reportedly continued to yell and interrupt the officer. According to the affidavit, Brewer attempted to remove Whitefox from the room. The suspect reportedly pulled away from the officer and attempted to kick him. Brewer said he used a swinging arm bar to bring the suspect back down to the ground and then pinned her.

Whitefox claimed she was being sexually harassed.

With backup arriving, Whitefox was able to be successfully placed into custody.

The officer manager reportedly told officers Whitefox had abandoned several items when she left her apartment. As the complex has no place to store such items they were disposed of.

When Whitefox appeared to claim the items and was informed of their disposal, the victim stated that Whitefox attacked her using the phone receiver as a weapon.

Whitefox is currently in the Grady County Jail.
