Wednesday, Nov. 14 is Education Support Professionals Day. On this day, Chickasha Public Schools will honor the secretaries, classroom aides, maintenance people, cafeteria workers, bus drivers and others who provide invaluable service to schools. The celebration is part of the National Education Association’s 86th annual observance designed to publicly recognize Education Support Professionals for their outstanding work and dedication to making public schools great for every child.
Chickasha Public School’s Education Support Professionals Day will include a proclamation signed by Chickasha Mayor Greg Elliott and each E. S. P. will receive a Certificate of Appreciation signed by OEA President Roy Bishop, and presented by Chickasha Association of Support Employees President Christina Pettit.
These activities will help reinforce American Education Week’s tagline, “Great Public Schools: A basic Right and Our Responsibility.” The tagline represents NEA’s vision of calling upon all Americans to do their part in making public schools great for every child so they may grow and achieve in the 21st century.
