NINNEKAH - A Lindsay man driving a pickup truck pulling a trailer full of cattle was killed after colliding with a tanker truck near the town of Ninnekah in Grady County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 70-year-old Robert Lee Burkes died in the crash about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday
The driver of the semi is hospitalized in stable condition.
The collision occurred at the intersection of U.S. 277 and a county road west of Ninnekah. Sheriff’s Deputies blocked all access to the accident for several hours, forcing U.S. 277 traffic to divert through surrounding country roads.
Troopers say they're still investigating the cause of the accident.
