Buchanan to perform at convention
AMBER - Sophomore Ethan Buchanan, 16, of the Am-Po FFA Chapter, has been selected to perform at the 82nd State FFA Convention before an audience of more than 10,000 as a member of the prestigious 2008 State FFA Convention Chorus.
One hundred six FFA members from 63 different Oklahoma chapters were selected by nationally-known chorus director Stan Kingma of Roanoke, Va. to perform throughout the convention, April 29-30 at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City.
Chorus members will arrive in Oklahoma City for rehearsal two days prior to the convention opening. In addition to entertaining convention participants, the chorus will sing for the Oklahoma Legislature at the State Capitol as special guests of Representative Fred Jordan.
Ethan is the son of Rev. Tommy and Jeanna Buchanan of Chickasha. He is the grandson of Edith Tate and the late Walter Tate of Ninnekah and Lewis and Faye Buchanan of Verden. His agricultural education instructor and FFA advisor is Billy Scott.

CHICKASHA – The University of Science and Arts is receiving and processing applications for fall 2010 enrollment in its acclaimed Child Development Center.
Dr. Donna Gower, assistant professor of education and director of the Child Development Center, said the key to the successful program for three- and four-year-olds is quality.
