CHICKASHA - The Grady County Excise Board met for its regular meeting on Tuesday, April 29. In attendance were Jerry White, Dow Meek, Leon Osborn and Grady County Assessor Bari Firestone.
The board reviewed transfer of appropriations for the following departments: County-wide 911 calling, GCEMA, the Election Board Secretary, General Government, Sheriff and Sheriff Services.
The board then approved the cash fund estimate of needs and request for appropriations for County Sales Tax in the amount of $90,245.29; Court Clerk Payroll, $30,224.10; and County Sales Tax, $676,894.91
Next, the board approved the allocation of alcoholic beverage tax for cities and towns in the amount of $12,357.83.
The board also approved the cash fund estimate of needs and request for appropriations for the following cash funds: County Highway, $999,024.02; Sheriff Service Fees, $16,304.77; SWB 911 Fees, $38,134.07; Treasurer’s Mortgage Tax, (March) $360, (April) $1,230; County Clerk M & M Lien, $3,171; County Clerk’s Preservation, $7,590; Assessor Revolving Fund, $455; Assessor Visual Inspection, $.31; Court Clerk Revolving Fund, $7,797.35; Drug Court User Fees, $1,282.32; WIC Fund, $19,822.04; and County Sales Tax Revenue, $80.09 (interest).
Finally, Grady county Clerk Sharon Shoemake told the board that at the present, there are two tax protest hearings set for May 28.
