The seven candidates running for Grady County Sheriff have been invited to participate inan informational debate on June 24.
The town-hall format debate will be held at the Best Western Restaurant 2101 S. 4th , Chickasha at 7 p.m. that day.
Organizers say this is a non-partisan debate open to all interested residents.
The debate will be moderated by Bob Martin, and can be heard on Kool 105.5-FM and Chickasha's cable channel 3. For more information, call 405-779-3126.
Incumbent Sheriff Kieran McMullen has drawn six opponents. He first must face fellow Republicans Art Kell and Thom Klenieski in a July 29 primary.
Facing off in the Democratic primary will be Ron Reynolds, Guy Huggins, Austin Green and Howard Arterberry.
Any runoff will be on August 26. The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 4.
