The Grady County Democratic Party will hold its annual fundraiser in the Community Building at the Grady County Fairgrounds on June 26 at 6:30 p.m. Dr. Ivan Holmes, chairman of the Oklahoma Democratic Party will host the program for the biggest event of the year for local Democrats.
The feature speaker will be Oklahoma’s Lt. Governor Jari Askins.
Candidates for Federal, State, and Legislative offices representing Grady County have been invited to speak on their candidacy and why citizens of Grady County should vote for each. In addition, a staff member of the campaign to elect Senator Barack Obama as President of the United States will speak.
“We are thrilled that so many candidates for office want to speak to the citizens of our county,” said Janice Rodgers, chairman of the Grady County Democratic Party.
Tickets for the event are $20 adults and $10 students with children under 12 free. BBQ and dessert will be served
