MacDowell Music Club of Chickasha has established an Endowment Fund through the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma Foundation.
The fund is entitled the 'MacDowell Music Club Diannah Parker Memorial Scholarship' in memory of former member, Diannah Parker.
The fund is to be utilized by USAO's Music Department Scholarship Program to benefit its outstanding music students.
Those interested in donating to the scholarship fund 'in honor' or 'in memory' of a friend or relative may contact Rosalie Bush, 2221 W. Country Club Road, Chickasha, OK 73018, 224-4934.
The first fall meeting of the MacDowell Music Club of Chickasha will be Sat., Sept. 13 at 10 a.m. in the Parlor of the First Baptist Church, 4th & Colorado. Former Chickasha resident and talented singer, Jilian (Russell) Gardner will present the program. Sallie Pittman is club president.
MacDowell Music Club of Chickasha was organized in 1911 and federated with National Federation of Music Clubs in 1912.˚
