Award-winning Southern Gospel music group Gold City has been chosen to headline this year’s benefit concert for the Resurrection House, a faith-based homeless shelter located in Chickasha.
The concert is planned for Saturday, April 4th in the Chickasha High School Activity Center auditorium. The evening begins at 5:30 with a BBQ sandwich and chips meal for $5.00, followed by the concert at 7:00pm.
Opening the show will be local singer and songwriter Danny Steagall. Jay Shankle, host of the Sunday morning gospel music show on KKNG radio in Oklahoma City, will be the emcee.
Tickets for the concert are $20 for adults, $10 for children, and available at Dunn’s Food Center, Chickasha Bank, and Atwoods in Chickasha, or by calling 405-243-7252.
Over the years, Gold City’s tight four-part harmonies has lead to a string of number one gospel songs, and dozens of major awards including Group of the Year, Album of the Year, and many others.
