JCC Academy now enrolling

The JCC Academy, a new Christian school option for students K-12 is now accepting enrollment applications for a limited number of students.

If you missed our early enrollment deadline to submit your transfer application, don’t worry you may still be able to join us this fall. The JCC Academy is the first private school program in our area to offer online curriculum as well as our standard curriculum, beginning the 2009-2010 school year.

Concert set for Ampitheater

The West Coast Quartet will be having a concert at Shannon Springs Ampitheater o July 24 at 7 p.m.

If you like gospel music, you will love the West Coast Quartet. Admission is free.

There will be refreshments for purchase before the concert begins. The concert as the Chickasha Campaign for Christ is sponsored by Calvary Baptist Church. Everyone is welcome, bring the whole family.



Church hosts ministry

All children, youth, and teens are welcome at the Fellowship of American Indian Church VBS/Sports Ministry from June 29 to July 3. Activities last from noon to 5 p.m. each day.

FBC to host concert

First Baptist Church, 324 W. Colorado in Chickasha, will play host to world renowned concert pianist Dino Kartsonakis at 10:30 a.m. July 5.

Dino will be presenting his patriotic program at First Baptist. This is a free concert, but a freewill offering will be taken during the concert.

The entire Chickasha and Grady County community is invited to attend. Also a special invitation to local military personnel and veterans, sheriff and police force, and firefighters is being extended to attend this celebration.



Church hosts VBS

There will be a Vacation Bible School at the United Pentecostal Church, 1706 S. 12th St., from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 22-26. For rides call 222-4474.



DivorceCare offered

DivorceCare, a weekly support group and seminar conducted by people who undestand divorce, meets from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Sunday at Epworth United Methodist Church in the New Life Center, north door. DivorceCare is nondenominational and features Biblical teaching for recovering from divorce or separation. A different topic is highlighed each week. Child care is available.

Reunion set for July 4

The Adams-Smith-McCaleb-Gainer-Kinard family reunion will be held beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 4 at the Lindsay Golf Course near the lake in the picnic area.

Go north on State Highway 76 approximately two-and-a-half miles north of Lindsay on the west side of the road. Follow access road in golf course to the lake area. Bring your favorite dish.

Rodeo queens sought

Past Chickaha Rodeo Queens are being asked to participate in an upcoming parade. There will be a float provided if you are not able to ride your horse. True Country playd Borden

True Country will play from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Thursday p.m. at the Borden Park Community Center.



Line Dance lessons offered

Free line dance lessons are being offered at Best Western Inn in Chickasha, 2101 S. 4th St., across the street from McDonalds.

Classes meet from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the first and third Monday of every month in the banquet room.

Beginners and all ages are welcome. Door prizes and refreshments are served.
