Am-Po bond discussed at Grady County Commissioners meeting

Amber-Pocasset Public School is another step closer to their school site upgrade.

Today at the Grady County Commissioners meeting, the commissioners signed a resolution approving the incurring of indebtedness by trustees of the Grady County School Finance Authority by issuance of lease revenue bonds, notes or other evidence of the indebtedness on a tax-exempt or taxable basis in the aggregate principal amount not to exceed $5,000,000.

The renovation will include many much needed improvements: seven new classrooms, a complete overhaul of the cafeteria and construction of a gym/activity center which will include a safe room.

"We're ecstatic, we're happy," Chad Hance, Amber-Pocasset Superintendent said. "That's a big commitment of our people there."
