CHICKASHA —
The National Junior Swine Association is heading back to “Native America” for the 2010 Southwest Regional Swine Show. It will be at the Grady County Fairgrounds in Chickasha on Sept. 3-5.
The show will feature Duroc, Hampshire, Landrace, Yorkshire and crossbred barrow and gilt shows, as well as showmanship, judging and sweepstakes contests.
The 2010 event will feature 230 exhibitors and more than 520 barrows and gilts from thirteen states including Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Illionis, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvinia, and Texas.

Friday, Sept. 3, 2010
• 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.: Check-in and Showmanship Registration
• 3:30 p.m.: All gilts and barrows must be in place in barn
• 5 p.m.: Crossbred Barrow Show followed by Purebred Barrow Show (Duroc-Hampshire-Landrace-Yorkshire)
Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010
• 8:15 a.m.: Junior Exhibitor Meeting
• 8:30 a.m.: Showmanship (Senior-Intermediate-Junior-Novice)
• 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Judging Contest Registration
• 1 p.m.: Judging Contest (Junior-Intermediate-Senior)
Officials to follow the completion of the senior division oral reasons)
• 3:30 p.m.: Novice Judging Contest
• 7 p.m.: Judging Contest Results
7:15 p.m.: NJSA Pizza Party
Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010

• 8 a.m.: Inspiration service with Ray Perryman
