LAKE EUFAULA, Okla. (AP) — An Oklahoma City man has been killed and six other people injured in a boating collision on Lake Eufaula.
The Oklahoma Lake Patrol says 38-year-old Greg Scherff was dead on arrival at a Muskogee hospital following the accident. The cause of death has not been determined.
Investigators say Scherff and the others were on a boat that was stopped in the lake when it was hit from behind by another boat just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
Troopers say the second boat left the scene. A search warrant was executed and the boat was seized.
Four people on the boat that was hit are hospitalized in stable condition, another was treated and released. The sixth person was taken to a hospital in Eufaula in unknown condition.
