Express-Star/Jerry Pittman
Rep. Joe Dorman, D-Rush Springs, addressed a group of 100 Chickasha High School freshmen at the monthtly awards luncheon at the CHS Activitiy Center. Dorman talked to the students about the importance of being involved while in high school. Each month, freshmen who meet certain academic, attendance and discipline standards qualify for the event. The number of qualifiers for December is up from 84 in November. The students and freshmen faculty members dined on a chicken tender dinner provided by Chicken Express. Graduation coach Jim White, with help from Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus drew for door prizes to be given to lucky students throughout the event, that was highlighted by a selection of holiday music.
