Domestic fight leads to felony firearm charge

— A preliminary hearing conference for a Chickasha man charged with feloniously pointing a firearm and carrying a firearm while under the influence will be at 1:30 p.m. March 7 in Grady County District Court.

Jed P. Cummings, 23, made his initial court appearance Tuesday, where his bond was set at $50,000. His attorney filed a motion with the court on Wednesday to reduce that bond.

According to a police officer’s affidavit, Chickasha police were called to Cummings’ residence in the 600 block of S. 17th St., on a domestic disturbance. When Officer Lauren Mathews arrived, there were two men fighting in the front yard. They ran into the house when they noticed the police car, according to the affidavit.
