The 2nd Base Savers want to give a big thank you to the community for the continual support, team captains Kristi Keller and Ashley Rayburn explain.
Last weekend the team that raises awareness and money for breast cancer returned from their trip to Dallas. The team spent three days walking a total of 60 miles.
"It was an awesome experience for our team and for each individual member." Keller said. "We walked with people walking for their mothers, daughters, wives, and even survivors. It was an outstanding symbol of courage."
This year the 2nd Base Savers raised over $36,000. According to Keller, that is $13,000 more than they raised last year.
"It was so exciting to us to see the outpouring of community support we receive," Keller said. "Just think of the progress we can make building on this."

"Without generosity, none of this would be possible," Keller explained. "We truly appreciate donors and supporters and hope they will continue to support our team in years to come, as we try to rid the world of the horrible disease one step at a time."
