Verden to host district tournament

— The Verden High School basketball teams will be hosting the district tournament next week for Area 2, District 3 in class A.

The Tigers and Lady Tigers will play Southwest Covenant on Friday, Feb. 8. The girls game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., and the boys will play at 8 p.m.

The winner will play Cyril the following night.

The Alex Longhorns and Lady Longhorns will play in Area 2, District 6 at Fort Cobb-Broxton on Feb. 8, girls at 6:30 and boys at 8 p.m.

Alex will play Maysville in the first round, and the winner will advance to play Fort Cobb-Broxton on Saturday night.

The winner and runner-up from each district will advance to the regional tournament.
