The first games of basketball playoffs begin tonight in class A, where Verden will host its district games.
Even though Verden is hosting, Cyril will get the first-round bye.
The Tigers and Lady Tigers will play Southwest Covenant at 6:30 (girls) and 8 p.m. (boys) tonight at Verden High School.
The winners of the first round games will play Cyril at 6:30 and 8 p.m. Saturday. The winner and runner-up from each district advance to the regional tournament, so a team only needs to win one game in district to advance.
Alex High School will play district games at Fort Cobb-Broxton tonight.
The Longhorns and Lady Longhorns are set to play Maysville at 6:30 and 8 p.m., and the winner will play host Fort Cobb-Broxton the next day at the same time.
