Freddie Clifford “Fred” Dennis was born on Nov. 12, 1928 in Bradley.  He went to be with the Lord on Feb. 13, 2012 at Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 83.

Fred was a long-time resident of Bradley, working as a farmer and then purchasing the Bradley Café and Station.  After retiring, he was able to pursue the favorite of all his jobs, working with his cattle.  Fred was a member of the Bradley First Baptist Church.  Going to church at Bradley was something he looked forward to each Sunday.  After God, Fred loved his family most of all.

 Fred is survived by his wife, Sue Dennis of the home, daughters; Freda Barrington, Vieta St. Martin and Shonda Tillman, one son, Brent Pugh, brothers; Claude Dennis, Roy Dennis and Don Dennis and his sisters; Dixie Carter, Mary Riddle, Ada Cagle and Judy Allen.  Fred is also survived by his grandchildren; Lyndel Loman, Jimmie Barrington, Dustyn Orr, Justyn Orr, Tonya Pricer and Rachael Jones and his great grandchildren; Aschley Tuck, Krystin Loman, Raven DeVault, Kale Pricer, Daniel Jones, Easton Pricer, Briley Orr, Ava Orr and Miller Orr as well as a great-great grandson, Baby Tuck, to be born into the fifth generation in May 2012.  Fred also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 Fred was preceded in death by his parents, John and Merlie Dennis, his step-mother, Ruth Dennis, sisters, Lee Ann Dennis and Edna Bean and one brother, Kenneth Dennis.

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Lindsay with Bro. Cletis Lee officiating and  Bro. James Jones assisting.  Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay.  Services are under the direction of B.G. Boydston Funeral Home of Lindsay, Oklahoma.  Condolences for the family may be made online at www.boydstonfuneralhome.com.

  • Patsy McDonald Rhymes

    Patsy McDonald Rhymes, 62, of Chickasha, beloved wife of Danny Rhymes, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.  She will be greatly missed by a large and loving extended family and many friends.  Patsy was a devoted wife and mother and spent most of her time caring for her family. 
    She is survived by her husband Danny, her son Starling and his wife Connie, and grandchildren Rochelle and Michael.  Patsy was especially close to her niece Pam and also leaves behind her brothers Charles, Paige, and Roland along with her sisters Thelma and Jeana. 
    Graveside services were held in Hominy,  on Friday, May 17, 2013, at 2 p.m. and will be officiated by her longtime family minister, Rev. Leonard Lindsay.  Arrangements are being handled by Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, Oklahoma.

    Private graveside services were held for Noyka Hadley, 67, of Chickasha, on Wednesday May 15, 2013 in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
    Noyka was born on February 10, 1946, in Houston, Texas. She died May 11, 2013, in Chickasha.
    Services were under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

  • Lois Morris

    Funeral service for Lois Morris, 89, of Chickasha, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2013, at the Maranatha Baptist Church in Chickasha.  Lois was born June 13, 1923, the daughter of Elva L. and Eva Opal (Heavin) Keeton.  She died May 13, 2013, in Muskogee.

    Graveside services for Betty Jo James, 84.will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 in the Westview Cemetery in Rush Springs under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Chapel in Rush Springs. Visitation will be held Monday and Tuesday at the Martin Funeral Home in Elk City and Wednesday and Thursday at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Chapel in Rush Springs.
    Betty was born in Cox City,  on Thursday, Sept. 27, 1928 and passed from this life on Saturday, May 11, 2013 in Elk City.

  • Freida Perkins

    Funeral services for Freida Perkins, 95, of Chickasha,  will be 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.
    Freida Perkins was born March 19, 1918, at Kalamazoo, Michigan.  She passed away at her home on Saturday, May 11, 2013.
    Mrs. Perkins married Daniel Perkins on November 14, 1940.  She and Daniel lived in New Mexico from 1940 to 1980, when they moved to the Amber area.
    She had worked in the New Mexico public school system and after moving to Amber she worked at the Amber Café for seven years.
    She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Perkins in 1986 and a son, Danny Perkins in 2010.
    Mrs. Perkins is survived by a sister, Esther Healey, of PawPaw, Michigan; four grandchildren:  Penny Fuller, George Perkins, Wayne Perkins and T.J. Perkins; 11 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; Daughter-in-law:  Wynema Perkins. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews including Carla and Eddie.
    Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
