Shirley Ann Smith was born June 9, 1936 in Haskell, Texas to Mary and James Brown. She passed away Aug. 18, 2012 at Oklahoma City at the age of 76 years, two months and nine days. She was married to Paul Smith at Wheeler, Texas on April 18, 1985. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, James Calvin Merrell, a grandson, Caden Dean Wolfe, a granddaughter, Amber Lamb, a great-grandson, Scott Paul White and a brother, Kenneth Brown.
Survived by her children, Donald Kenneth Merrell, Sayre; Elizabeth White, Sayre; Terrance Jay Merrell and wife, Ellen, Pensacola, Fla.; Kimberly Green and husband, L.G., Sayre; Darrell Merrell, Sayre; Chris Wolfe and wife, Bertina, Dill City; 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters, Jan Stone, Sayre and Mary Larue Brown, Ohio; a special brother-in-law, Bill Merrell and wife, Betty, Chickasha; a close friend, Chico Ramon, Sayre; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012 at Poarch Cemetery officiated by Bro. Gary Baird. Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com
