WANDA PRUNER BYRAM

Funeral service for Wanda Pruner Byram, 86, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, August 20, 2007 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Wanda Pruner B was born March 4, 1921 in Chickasha, Oklahoma the daughter of Charles Beaver (a Delaware Indian) and Cynthia (Anderson) Pruner and died Thursday, August 16, 2007 in Chickasha.

Wanda grew up on the family farm, a Choctaw Indian allotment of her mother’s 5 miles NE of Chickasha. She graduated from Amber High School.

She worked as a nurse at Borden General Hospital during World War II and later worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and retired after 30 years as a Senior Administrative Personnel Officer.

She received commendations for her excellent service with the BIA.

Wanda lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico for over 25 years and moved back to Chickasha 2 years ago.

Wanda was preceded in death by:

Parents; one son: Dwain Brown; seven brothers: Blake Pruner, C.B. Pruner, Bob Pruner, Walter Pruner, Pat Pruner, Jim Pruner and Jess Pruner; one sister: Waneta Pruner.

Survivors include: Children: Blain Brown and wife Ada of Los Angeles, California; Vicki Tyler and husband Toby of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Cynthia Schoppet and husband Chuck of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one sister: Norma Knowles of Chickasha; two brothers: Harold Pruner and wife Ann of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; Bill Pruner and wife Joan of Shawnee; 10 grandchildren: Charles, Curtis, Craig, Casey, Cade, Chandra, Teena, April, Christine and Shawn; six great- grandchildren; Many nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.



SANDRA SUE SHULTZ

Funeral service for Sandra Sue Shultz, 63, Duncan, was 10 a.m. Thursday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. K. Laverne Stinson, Pastor, Church of the Nazarene, Harrah, Oklahoma, officiating.

Mrs. Shultz died Sunday in Yukon.

Burial was in the Letitia Cemetery East of Lawton.

She was born March 20, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio to Nelson and Allene (Jackson) Morris. She moved to Southwest Oklahoma with her family at a very young age. She graduated from Waurika High School. She taught school in Verden, Minco, Rush Springs and Central High, where she was certified K-12.

She married Charlie Lee Shultz in Lawton on January 1, 1964.

He died December 17, 2006 in Lawton.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James and Dr. Amy Shultz of Yukon, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Gabriel and Leslie Shultz; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Nelson Leon and Rhonda Morris of Seattle, Washington; Lynn Morris of Houston, Texas and Dennis Morris of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and a nephew, Lance Morris.

Her husband and parents preceded her in death.

WALTER L. RILEY

Graveside services for Walter Riley, 83, of Pocasset will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. in the Pocasset Cemetery.

Walter Riley was born August 28, 1923, in Elmore City, Oklahoma.

He died August 17, 2007, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
