Funeral service for Alta Marie Castleberry Hill, 86, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012 at the Southern Oaks Church of Christ.
Alta Marie Castleberry Hill was born June 28, 1926 in Ninnekah, the daughter of Ebb Melvin and Hettie Bell (Garrison) Johnson. She died Sept. 9, 2012 in Chickasha.
Alta started school in Ninnekah in 1932. The family lived in Bray from 1938-39 and moved to Cement in 1940.
They returned to Ninnekah from 1940-43. They moved to Chickasha and Alta worked for Crown Drug Store. In 1946 they moved to Garland, Texas, returning to Chickasha in 1950.
Alta again worked for Crown Drug and later was a diet aid for Grady Memorial Hospital from 1966-1975. She went to work for Maremont in 1975 and retired in 1991.
After her retirement, she participated with Helping Hands Sewing Group of Trinity Baptist Church and for the Southern Oaks Food and Clothing Ministry.
She was preceded in death by husbands: Garl Robinson, Leroy Castleberry and Leon W. Hill; four brothers: Lucian M. Johnson, James (Pap) Elton Johnson, Albert Sydney Johnson and John Wayne Johnson.
Survivors include two daughters: Kathy King and husband Billy of Lubbock, Texas and Diana Wilson and husband Paul of Trinidad, Colo.; a son: Gary Castleberry and wife Michele of Chickasha; three brothers: Charles Milton Johnson of Rush Springs, Weldon Eugene Johnson of Chickasha and Byron Harvey Johnson of Chickasha; grandchildren: Mark King, Mike King, Matthew Kilgore, Scott Crow, Heather Rowe, Stephen Castleberry and Becca Castleberry; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Theodore "Ted" A. Diaconoff
Ted Diaconoff, age 84 of Chickasha, was born the son of Andre Diaconoff and Evelyn Hotson Diaconoff on Oct. 7, 1928, in Akron, Ohio. He died on May 19, 2013 in Chickasha.
After receiving his masters degree, Ted continued his education and received his Phd at UCLA. He also attended the Juilliard School of Music in New York City where he studied piano and composition and was a faculty assistant. He later held teaching positions at universities in Michigan, Kentucky, then at USAO in Chickasha where he was a professor of music.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Betty.
Survivors include his brothers, Phillip Diaconoff of Livermore, Calif. and Peter Diaconoff of Santa Fe, NM.
Arrangements for cremation are with the McRay Funeral Home. There will be no services. -
Patsy McDonald Rhymes
Patsy McDonald Rhymes, 62, of Chickasha, beloved wife of Danny Rhymes, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. She will be greatly missed by a large and loving extended family and many friends. Patsy was a devoted wife and mother and spent most of her time caring for her family.
She is survived by her husband Danny, her son Starling and his wife Connie, and grandchildren Rochelle and Michael. Patsy was especially close to her niece Pam and also leaves behind her brothers Charles, Paige, and Roland along with her sisters Thelma and Jeana.
Graveside services were held in Hominy, on Friday, May 17, 2013, at 2 p.m. and will be officiated by her longtime family minister, Rev. Leonard Lindsay. Arrangements are being handled by Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, Oklahoma. -
Nyoka “Jo” Hadley
Private graveside services were held for Noyka Hadley, 67, of Chickasha, on Wednesday May 15, 2013 in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
Noyka was born on February 10, 1946, in Houston, Texas. She died May 11, 2013, in Chickasha.
Services were under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Lois Morris
Funeral service for Lois Morris, 89, of Chickasha, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2013, at the Maranatha Baptist Church in Chickasha. Lois was born June 13, 1923, the daughter of Elva L. and Eva Opal (Heavin) Keeton. She died May 13, 2013, in Muskogee.

Graveside services for Betty Jo James, 84.will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 in the Westview Cemetery in Rush Springs under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Chapel in Rush Springs. Visitation will be held Monday and Tuesday at the Martin Funeral Home in Elk City and Wednesday and Thursday at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Chapel in Rush Springs.
Betty was born in Cox City, on Thursday, Sept. 27, 1928 and passed from this life on Saturday, May 11, 2013 in Elk City.

Freida Perkins
Funeral services for Freida Perkins, 95, of Chickasha, will be 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.
Freida Perkins was born March 19, 1918, at Kalamazoo, Michigan. She passed away at her home on Saturday, May 11, 2013.
Mrs. Perkins married Daniel Perkins on November 14, 1940. She and Daniel lived in New Mexico from 1940 to 1980, when they moved to the Amber area.
She had worked in the New Mexico public school system and after moving to Amber she worked at the Amber Café for seven years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Perkins in 1986 and a son, Danny Perkins in 2010.
Mrs. Perkins is survived by a sister, Esther Healey, of PawPaw, Michigan; four grandchildren: Penny Fuller, George Perkins, Wayne Perkins and T.J. Perkins; 11 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; Daughter-in-law: Wynema Perkins. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews including Carla and Eddie.
Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. -
