— Martha Nell McReynolds, passed away August 13, 2010. She was born July 11, 1926 in Amber, OK to Floyd and Bertha Van Schuyver.

She married Arthur Roy McReynolds on July 7, 1953, they had two children.  Martha was a dedicated teacher for more than 38 years, teaching business classes to high school students in Gridley, KS and teaching 2nd graders in Burlington, KS.  She was highly recognized for her teaching receiving the Master Teacher award from Emporia State and the Kansas Teacher of the Year.  Upon retirement, she served as the Business Administrator, Delta Kappa Gamma International, Austin, TX for seven years and was an active officer for many years.  She moved to Oklahoma City upon her second retirement and led an active life with church and community activities. She was an avid bridge player and all enjoyed the great jokes she would often tell.

She is survived by two children, Connie McReynolds, Redlands, CA, Allen McReynolds and wife Nelfa, Forest, VA; two grandchildren and a host of loved family and friends.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on  Tuesday, Aug.17, 2010 at Bill Merritt Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, OK.  Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, OK.
