Rusty Allen Funk, 27, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 in Oklahoma City.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs with Richy Large officiating. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery in Rush Springs under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.

Rusty was born Monday, July 1, 1985 in Lawton, to Donnie and Stephanie Funk. Rusty lived in the Rush Springs area all of his life and graduated from Rush Springs High School in 2004. He married Bridget Rader in Rush Springs on Dec. 18, 2005. Rusty enjoyed his job working for Craddock Oil Service as a flow technician for the past eight years. He loved spending time with his family and spent every moment possible with his two boys and his PaPa Harry. Rusty was an avid OSU Cowboy fan and enjoyed hunting and NASCAR. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs.

Survivors include wife, Bridget Funk of the home; sons, Peyton and Preston Funk of the home; father, Donnie Funk of Rush Springs; mother, Stephanie Funk of Norman; brother, Michael Funk and wife Jessica of Norman; sisters, Amber Raney and husband Raymond of Daisey, Oklahoma and Shelby Britton and husband Nick of Rush Springs; grandparents, Harry and Jean Funk of Rush Springs and Holly Johnston of Edna, Texas; mother-in-law, Diane Howell of Chickasha; four brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rusty was preceded in death by his grandfather, Warren Johnston and great-grandmother, Myrtle Coxsey.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Sweet, Charles Tate, Josh Morris, Raymond Raney, Nick Britton, Paul Lacabon. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Tate, Joseph Lacabon, Donald Cunningham.

    Private graveside services were held for Noyka Hadley, 67, of Chickasha, on Wednesday May 15, 2013 in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
    Noyka was born on February 10, 1946, in Houston, Texas. She died May 11, 2013, in Chickasha.
    Services were under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

    Funeral service for Lois Morris, 89, of Chickasha, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2013, at the Maranatha Baptist Church in Chickasha.  Lois was born June 13, 1923, the daughter of Elva L. and Eva Opal (Heavin) Keeton.  She died May 13, 2013, in Muskogee.

    Graveside services for Betty Jo James, 84.will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 in the Westview Cemetery in Rush Springs under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Chapel in Rush Springs. Visitation will be held Monday and Tuesday at the Martin Funeral Home in Elk City and Wednesday and Thursday at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Chapel in Rush Springs.
    Betty was born in Cox City,  on Thursday, Sept. 27, 1928 and passed from this life on Saturday, May 11, 2013 in Elk City.

  • Freida Perkins

    Funeral services for Freida Perkins, 95, of Chickasha,  will be 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.
    Freida Perkins was born March 19, 1918, at Kalamazoo, Michigan.  She passed away at her home on Saturday, May 11, 2013.
    Mrs. Perkins married Daniel Perkins on November 14, 1940.  She and Daniel lived in New Mexico from 1940 to 1980, when they moved to the Amber area.
    She had worked in the New Mexico public school system and after moving to Amber she worked at the Amber Café for seven years.
    She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Perkins in 1986 and a son, Danny Perkins in 2010.
    Mrs. Perkins is survived by a sister, Esther Healey, of PawPaw, Michigan; four grandchildren:  Penny Fuller, George Perkins, Wayne Perkins and T.J. Perkins; 11 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; Daughter-in-law:  Wynema Perkins. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews including Carla and Eddie.
    Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
